Eid in Old Delhi: Charcoal Buttered Chicken

DSC_1273

Last night Tennille and I went to participate in the Iftar, or evening meal to break the daily fast (no food or drink from sunrise to sunset) during the religious holiday Eid. There was so much good stuff going on that I’ll be be breaking this up into multiple posts. The biggest stand out was snacking on this coal roasted skewers of chicken, that were then smothered in yogurt, curry powder, and – wait for it – loads of melted butter. Turns out there is a heaven – and you can get it to go in Old Delhi.
