July 4th Part I: The US Embassy

DSC_0166

Last weekend we went to the US Embassy’s 4th of July party.  I have to admit I was looking forward to it all week – not necessarily for the party, but really for the prospect of hamburgers and hot dogs. The party ended up being pretty awesome across a huge perfect lawn, live band, a great variety of drinks (they even had Dog Fish Head!), and they definitely had hot dogs. While they weren’t the imported all beef nation’s hot dogs and potato buns I pictured (I clearly let this hot dog-fantasy get out of hand), the company made up for the lack of authentic processed American meat.
