Wednesday was Holi in India, the “Festival of Colors.” We went with a big group of friends to the JMU Campus to celebrate (presumably college style?) and play Holi in the morning. The party was crazy, where people frequently approached each other to paint bright powders on each others’ faces/heads saying, “Happy Holi!” Oh, there were also a lot of water guns and water balloons, often filled with colored paint. By noon festivities winded down, and we relaxed at a small, afternoon rooftop party thrown by a friend of a friend. India wins again for having the most hospitable friends (and friends of friends) ever. Happy Holi!
