Jalebi is a popular Indian dessert that I’ve found at every celebration so far – and it is just as hard to resist each time.  It is a flour dough deep fried in a circular shapes, and then soaked in syrup.  You’ll often see stacks and stacks of them in little hole-in-the-wall sweet shops across the city.  Evan says it tastes like a Krispy Kreme doughnut, but I think that is just a reference to it’s simple crisp sweetness that anyone would love.
