A waterfall of Christmas decorations through the middle of the Imperial Hotel lobby.
Though I missed the scent of fresh orchids filling the lobby, I really loved the amazing smell of the intricate, practically life-sized gingerbread house that filled up the front entrance to the Imperial Hotel where we were staying in the weeks leading up to Christmas. It mostly just made me wonder, who was so lucky to construct such a monstrosity? Did they have have prior experience? How would it look on their resume afterwards? Title: Lead Architect; Employer: Imperial Hotel [not bad so far?]; Description: Lead Design and Construction of 5’x5′ gingerbread house. How do people get so lucky?
